The new Contentserv release “PXC24.0” has arrived and brings with it some new features that we would like to briefly introduce to you.

Optimized product display with “Shoppingfeed”

One major new feature is the integration of the “Shoppingfeed” product feed solution. Product feeds are consistent product listings that are displayed on a channel-specific basis. A modern product feed solution supplies a large number of channels and takes the channel algorithms into account, increasing the relevance and visibility of the products for the customer.

Shoppingfeed offers many functions such as automatic feed updates, optimized offer, inventory and price management as well as corresponding analysis tools.

Fresh - the revised PXC user interface

The new release brings a revised user interface for the Explorer, PIM and DAM Studio modules. The interface is now more streamlined and has a more modern appearance, which ensures greater clarity and user-friendliness.

In the Explorer, the navigation tree can be collapsed, the list can be displayed in full-screen mode and when opening objects, the Explorer appears above the list, which can still be used for navigation while the editor remains open.

With Contentserv Querry Language (CQL), a new advanced search has been introduced that allows users to combine search filters and make complex search queries. The improved selection and status displays - familiar from the Studio - are now also available in the Explorer.

In the PIM and DAM Studio, a heading has been added to the list view and the editor header can be expanded to display additional information, such as product images.

The new DataLake Service

The DataLake Service is designed to provide product information for very high performance and maximum scalability in order to better support the increasing requirements for headless integrations. The solution is based on microservices and is cloud-native. It is designed to optimize response times for requests via the REST API.

However, it is still a closed alpha and customers will have to be patient until they have access to the DataLake.

More minor improvements

And of course there are many other small improvements:

  • The settings area has been reorganized for a better user experience.
  • The installation page is now password protected and anonymous access has been restricted to certain areas.
  • The PXHub has a new mapping component that can be used for various data mappings.
  • The cloud has better scaling through native S3 support and the core can run in a multi-pod environment.
